"Never Felt Better"
"Before I started working with Dr. Solmaz, I equated eating healthily with deprivation and eating boring foods. When I received her meal plan, I was so excited! It was laid out almost like a cookbook, with easy to follow recipes and beautiful photos. As I started making her meals, it was the first time in my life that I realized I could stick with a healthy diet because I was actually enjoying what I was eating! Her recipes are never boring, as she often uses middle eastern and asian influences. Like me, Dr. Solmaz is a busy working mom, and I love that she incorporates meals that the whole family can enjoy, and recipes that can be made quickly with readily available ingredients. Dr. Solmaz has shown me that food truly is medicine and I've never felt better!"

"Down 10 Pounds"
"Dr. Solmazās meal plans have been a game changer for me! Not only are they wholesome and healthful but the options are well balanced and the recipes are very user friendly. I also noticed that Iām being more efficient and able to preserve more of my produce because Iām prepping meals ahead of time and. as a result, there is much less food waste. I know that the meals are nutrient rich because the results speak for themselves - in just over two months I was down 10 pounds, was experiencing renewed energy, and as a bonus that I am confident is attributable to the changes I made in my food choices, I lasted over 2 months at my job in early childhood education this fall before picking up a cold, which has never happened! Thank you, Dr. Solmaz!!Ā PS: the meals are delicious and my kitchen always smells enviably aromatic. š"

IntroducingĀ The Enso KitchenĀ
Ā
It all began in 2011 when I started my blog, "All is Well That Eats Well"Ā as a way to easily share my healthy and delicious recipes with my patients. I had just finished my Internal Medicine residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC and had moved to Virginia with my soon to be husband, who was stationed at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton Roads. I started my first job as an attending there, in a busy outpatient clinical practice.Ā
My days were long and packed with 20-25 patients daily. Oftentimes patient visits were only 15 minutes long and I was somehow expected to manageĀ acute conditions like diagnosing a new onset cough as well as chronic conditions, like a rising HbA1c in my diabetic patient during that time (and any other concerns that came up).Ā
It simply was not enough time to get to the root of the problem, to empower my patients with actionable tools to affect real change or to provide the type of care that my patients deserved. I knew that I needed to do something but as a new attending, I didn't want to create waves by requesting longer visits, less patients in my schedule or more support.Ā
I also knew that the root of the majority of problems my patients faced could be prevented or reversed with lifestyle, most importantly, with food.Ā During my residency, I heavily focused my research on studying different dietary lifestyles and how they impact the trajectory of overall health, with a specific focus on the Mediterranean Diet. I was thrilled to present the results of my research to the Department of Internal Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital and to the Department of Endocrinology at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio. I was also selected to take part in a collaborative program between doctors and chefs at the Institute of Culinary Education in NYC, where we worked together to create meals that functioned as prescriptions for health.
So, I got to work and started a blog with my healthy, delicious and easy-to-make recipes, which I could readily share with my patients. It was the best decision I could have made. With limited time, I was able to provide them with a valuable and actionable resource to help get them on the path to whole health.Ā
Even I was surprised by how well it worked!
My patients would come to see me for follow-ups and their cholesterolĀ had improved, or their HbA1c had normalized and was no longer in the prediabetes zone or they had lost 15 pounds, and I would ask them how they did it.Ā They'd tell me that they had started following all of the recipes on my blog!Ā
Throughout my 14 years of practicing Internal Medicine, I have used this resource to help my patients achieve better health. However,Ā I realized that in order to truly optimize my patients' health and reverse chronic conditions, I needed to create something more comprehensive and powerful. This led to my decision to leave traditional medicine to launch my own lifestyle medicine coaching practice, Enso Lifestyle Health, back in 2020.
As part of my more comprehensive lifestyle medicine coaching program, I began developing customized meal plans for my private clients. It not only worked in helping them achieve their ultimate wellness and weight loss goals, they also loved the food!Ā
In the past four years,Ā I have helped my private clients to lose weight and keep it off for good, improve their cholesterol levels, blood sugar and blood pressure, boost energy, lower inflammation, feel more confident, find balance, improve their relationship with food, wear clothes they never thought they'd fit into again, eat more mindfully and enjoy new foods.
Thanks to my amazing clients, my recipes are tried and tested, and the outcomes are incredible!!
This is the first time most of these recipes are available to anyone outside of my private 1:1 clients.Ā
You can optimize your health AND lose weight for good, while eating delicious foods that satisfy and energize you.

Hi there, Iām Dr Solmaz
I'm a Boston-based, Stanford and Harvard trained physician. I'm Board Certified in Lifestyle Medicine with 14 years of clinical experience. I completed my residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. I was practicing Internal Medicine at MIT Medical and Mass General Brigham in Boston prior to launching my practice. I partner with busy professional women to help you sustainably lose weight, optimize your whole health, and prevent illness. This isnāt just my expertise and passion. I know firsthand the power of healthy eating and physical activityĀ as IĀ recovered from severe postpartum complications which also led to excessive weight gain. After giving birth, I suffered a life threatening postpartum bleed. I lost half of my blood supply and my iron stores fell from top normal to nearly zero. The months following delivery were extremely challenging as I struggled to find the strength and energy to care for myself and most importantly, my baby girl. During this time, I dealt with weakness, dizziness, shortness of breath, dwindling milk supply and feelings of sadness and guilt. As my waistline and frustration grew, I was determined to get back into shape and to my whole self again. I had always taken pride in the fact that through my counselling, my patients had lost weight, kept it off for good, and taken back control of their own health and wellness. So I developed a plan that would bring me back to my optimal health and weight,Ā while allowing me to enjoy the delicious foods that I love to cook and eat.

What would be possible for you and your health if you had The Enso Kitchen?
My health and wellness philosophy is rooted in the sacred concept of Enso, a Japanese symbol in Zen buddhism meaning "circle" and symbolizing absolute enlightenment. The circle can be open or closed. When open, it represents the beauty of imperfection and the movement towards perfection or the closed circle. Traditionally, the Enso is created by the artist using a single brushstroke as a practice of meditation. As such, no modifications are made to the symbol and each individual has his/her own unique Enso. While none of us are perfect, we are all on a constant path of personal development towards self-betterment with respect to our health. My goal is to empower you with the mindset, knowledge and tools on this journey towards whole health and enlightenment.
